What are the challenges facing marketers when trying to mobile-market?

what kind of mobile-marketing can be developed to be most effective?

One of the challenges of mobile marketing (marketing to mobile devices such as PDAs or cellphones) is just the small amount of real estate / screen available on those devices. There’s not much in the way of text & graphics to work with. So messaging has to be really crisp and clean.

The biggest opportunities are in location-based (GPS) marketing. For example, marketing a deli that is within walking distance of where the individual is, etc.
